Attractive offering of a rare and sought-after 6265 with discolored sundials.

With a production run of over 15 years, the 6265 is one of the most prominent references in Rolex' Daytona history. As the ref. 6265 was produced for such a long time, a rather large number of dial variations are known to exist. This one sports a particular silver dial, with contrasting recessed sub dials; usually black. Overtime and due to the impact of outside aging, one encounters a beautiful discoloring in these ridged counters. Especially in the sunlight they appear very chocolate. At the bottom it is signed "T Swiss T". The T indicates the use of tritium, which in this case enhances the appeal greatly, as they are all present and turned to a warm creamy hue. It matches the original tritium handset.

This early 70's watch, with its 3.3 millions serial, looks absolutely fantastic for a half-a-century old chronograph. Not only the dial remains appealing but the 37mm case is strong too! She naturally sports the, period correct, screw down chronograph pushers (P301) and a stainless steel bezel with an engraved tachymetric scale. The watch comes on a slightly unusual bracelet option: Jubilee. This 19mm endlink folded construction sport specific 74 end links and is dated to the same age as the watch. All in all, a wonderful 4-digit Daytona.
